Lake Erie Bait and Tackle is owned and operated by Adam and Meghan Cann. We are located in close proximity to the shores of Lake Erie Ontario making our location a convenient stop for the fishermen and fisherwomen from Long Point, ON to Port Dover, On and every port, pier and marina in between.

The Cann’s purchased Lake Erie Bait and Tackle from Darryl and Mandie Propper who had proudly owned and operated the business for over 25 years and moved on to the awesome marina Big Otter Marina in Port Burwell, ON. Although the location of Lake Erie Bait and Tackle has moved from the previous location, the service and commitment to the customers of Lake Erie Bait and Tackle has not changed.

Purchasing Lake Erie Bait and Tackle for Adam and Meghan has brought a lifestyle change and career change for their family. It took many years of searching for a small business opportunity that would provide a change from their careers, but when they found Lake Erie Bait and Tackle and connected with the Propper's the purchase just made sense. Adam and Meghan have 25 years experience in health care and social services in the city. With the purchase of Lake Erie Bait and Tackle, they also purchased 12 acres of land, built a home and moved their family to the country.

 

 

The move has fulfilled a career change as well as the dream to raise their family in the country. Their son Luke has embraced his new country life of playing in the dirt, being surrounded by farm animals and nature and experiencing fishing in their pond for the first time.

Check out the fishing wall of fame for Luke’s first bass. In Adam’s younger years he was a fishing guide in Lac Seul. That passion never left him and he knew one day the opportunity would come to enjoy the world of fishing again. Adam and Meghan have many goals for Lake Erie Bait and Tackle and are excited to share the additions to the business as they happen with the current and new customers of Lake Erie Bait and Tackle for years to come.
